From Ex-Mortgage Slave To Network Marketing Sensation…

THANK GOD For FREE ENTERPRISE!

My name is Kai Pei and my friends call me the Atomic Guru.

I’ve spent years figuring out this whole “Network Marketing” thing. And let me tell you… it wasn’t easy.

It all started in 1993. I was working as a janitor at a university hospital to put myself through college. Between polishing elevator doors, cleaning bathrooms, and taking out the garbage, I would daydream about making it big someday and putting my janitor days behind me.

And then one day, I answered an ad in the paper and landed a job selling coupon books door-to-door, promoting local businesses like pizza shops, car washes, and dry cleaners (which is pretty funny ’cause I didn’t even own a suit back then).

…Network Marketing Kicked In The Door And BLEW MY SOCKS OFF!

My manager Chris approached me one day and presented a network marketing opportunity that blew my socks off! The name of the company was Excel Communications. This was right around the time when the telecommunications industry was being deregulated. It was a FREE FOR ALL.

I looked at the pamphlet that Chris handed me and my eyes literally popped out of my head when I saw the simplicity of the plan. All I had to do was recruit 3 people and help them recruit 3 people and so on… Boy oh boy did I go to work!

I swept through the college dorms like a tornado. I did more flip-book presentations than I care to count. Keep in mind that all of this happened before the days of the internet and Powerpoint presentations. With sheer will and effort, I went on a recruiting frenzy and within 60 days I had a downline with over 130 distributors. The bonus money started pouring in.

There was just one small problem…

I was doing all the presentations.

I could only be in so many places at any one time and as my sales organization grew, I became less available. Before you knew it, I had a huge downline of people that had very little training. I had a huge downline of people that weren’t motivated like me. I had a huge downline of people that had NEVER performed a single presentation because they all counted on me to do the work for them.

Sadly, my income vanished as quickly as it appeared.

…And Then My Dear Old Dad DROVE THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN When He Said, “That Pyramid Deal Will NEVER WORK.”

With my head held low, I resigned from MLM and decided to roll the dice with corporate America. I interviewed at a local mortgage company and got hired on the spot as a telemarketer. And boy did I SUCK at it. I was nearly on the verge of getting fired every single day for almost 2 months. I mean, I was really terrible at my job. I blamed it on the fact that my girlfriend and I had just broken up. Truthfully, I was just making excuses for my poor performance.

But then one day, I decided enough was enough. I decided to turn up the heat. I decided that I would be the best damn telemarketer on the planet if it killed me. And from that point on, I excelled. I applied myself and quickly became the top producer in a 45 person marketing department. From there, I was promoted to loan officer where I also excelled. I eventually went on to become a manager and a corporate trainer where I received the highest accolades and financial rewards.

And Then One Day The Call Came… A Call That Would Change My Life Forever…

A head hunter from the largest privately held lender in the United States, Ameriquest, came knocking. He recruited me to go to work for them as a loan officer. The offer was just too great to pass up. So I packed my bags and jumped ship to my new home. Working for Ameriquest turned out to be one of the greatest experiences of my life. I was easily pulling down over $20,000 every single month with my biggest month being over $89,000.

And as my paycheck grew, my ego grew. I pondered the future and realized that I was giving up too much of my paycheck to the “MAN” and decided I would start my own company. I had dreams of someday owning my own bank.

So that’s exactly what I did. In 2003 I moved to San Diego, California and started my own mortgage company. Once again the money came pouring in. This of course was during the height of the real estate boom. The money came so quickly and so easily. I could literally blink like a genie and watch $20 grand appear on my desk.

However, My Luck And Good Fortune Came To An ABRUPT END… I Was Penniless…

In 2007, the market crashed. One year later, the DOW dropped over 700 points in one day and many people took HUGE LOSSES in the market. It was grim, dark and depressing. The effects of the crash were devastating.

I lost my company, my income, my security, and my peace of mind… I got wiped out…

Sad to say, the effects of the economy took a massive toll on my business and my livelihood. I LOST EVERYTHING.

I had to start over. As bleak as things seemed, I would soon come to realize that this experience was actually a blessing in disguise. I was forced to get creative. I was forced to look at alternatives to survive and support myself. So I turned to the internet…

I spent 3 diligent months looking online for an opportunity. As stubborn as I am, I absolutely refused to sacrifice my standards and settle for something sub-par. I spoke with a good friend of mine who was also a business coach. She had previously worked with Fortune 500 companies and heavy hitters in various industries. With her coaching, I created a list of the top 5 most important things I was looking for in a business opportunity.

Top 5 Things I Was Looking For In A Business Opportunity:

1) An opportunity that was RECESSION PROOF.

2) An opportunity that would allow me to be creative within the context of owning my own business.

3) An opportunity with UNLIMITED INCOME POTENTIAL.

4) An opportunity that gave me the ability to help others.

5) An opportunity that would allow me to WORK FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

At first, I thought to myself, “Am I being realistic?”

But my amazing friend and business coach put me in my place and said, “You won’t get ANYTHING in life UNLESS YOU ASK FOR IT.”

No truer words were ever spoken.

Within a couple of short weeks, I had aligned myself with some of the top network marketers and online marketers in the industry and the WORLD OVER. They took me under their wing and taught me everything they know. People like Brian Fanale, Norbert Orlewicz, Cedrick Harris, Jim Chao, Larry Beacham, David Wood, Mark Yarnell… The list goes on and on…

My Passion For Network Marketing Was Resurrected!

I realized that I had this amazing industry in front of me this whole time. And it ONLY took me 14 years to come full circle and find network marketing again. But this time, it was a whole new game, ESPECIALLY with the internet at our fingertips.

I mean seriously, where else can you build a MASSIVE & PASSIVE residual income? Where else can you create the business of your dreams and work from anywhere anywhere in the world? To this day, whenever I travel, I can take my work with me with nothing more than a cell phone and a laptop. The mortgage business NEVER gave me this type of FREEDOM!

I quickly became a student of the game and within a few short months, I had my first 5 figure month. I never looked back. Today, my mission is to help other people see the proverbial LIGHT of true freedom. My goal is to help others live life to the fullest and to realize their FULLEST POTENTIAL. My ultimate goal is to help others release themselves from the SHACKLES of being bound to a job they hate, answering to people who pay them less than they’re worth, and to cut themselves free of the RAT RACE once and for all.

I realized something very important along my journey to where I am today. True freedom doesn’t come from how much money you make. True freedom comes from how much time you have to pursue the things you are truly passionate about. I mean just ask yourself, if money was NO OBJECT, what would you do with your free time?

I had enormous financial success in the mortgage world. My only problem – I NEVER HAD ANY FREE TIME because I was ALWAYS WORKING. As industry leader Mark Yarnell put it, “Network marketing is truly the greatest form of capitalism and free enterprise known to man.” And I have to say, I agree with him 1,000%.
